ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary duties associated with this position entail:

Embody the core principles and guiding tenets that define Nova Pioneer’s organizational culture and vision.

Create an environment that ensures children’s safety and security, fostering a setting where they feel at ease and supported.

Each day, design and implement engaging activities for the children that align with the established curriculum, lesson plans, and structured schemes of work, ensuring they address the social, physical, and emotional developmental needs of each child.

In collaboration with the lead teacher, design and cultivate a classroom atmosphere that fosters academic growth, aligns with students’ developmental stages and interests, and ensures a structured and purposeful learning environment.

Engage actively in various avenues for professional advancement, such as daily team discussions and reflective sessions, weekly meetings focused on professional growth, instructional coaching, and organization-wide learning and introspection.

Collaborate regularly with the resident teacher to continuously evaluate student performance through ongoing assessments. Apply the resulting data to refine instructional content and adapt delivery methods as needed.

Deliver an assortment of educational and recreational materials and resources that foster exploration, hands-on interaction, and creativity for children, supporting both structured learning activities and imaginative play.

Instruct students on proper equipment and material usage while ensuring adherence to safety protocols to mitigate risks of injury and damage.

Plan and facilitate activities that foster physical, cognitive, and social growth, including games, creative arts, music, and storytelling sessions.

Prepare indoor and outdoor spaces, including classrooms and materials, to support creative play, learning, and motor-skill activities while ensuring safety.

Monitor each child’s development closely and compile detailed progress reports to be shared with the Principal, other school administrators, and parents.

Track and document the children’s developmental milestones and progress through detailed reports.

Deliver personalized and collaborative instruction to students, customizing educational approaches to accommodate their diverse needs and interests.

Greet arriving children warmly, assist them in removing their outerwear, and guide them toward engaging activities that align with their interests to facilitate a smooth transition into the school environment.

Enact and uphold disciplinary guidelines, as well as institutional policies and protocols, to ensure a structured and orderly environment for students.

Plan and lead class projects, field trips, guest speaker sessions, and other hands-on learning experiences, while ensuring students derive meaningful insights from these opportunities.

Participate in professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to continuously enhance and uphold professional competence.

Provide support with boarding and disembarking passengers from the bus.

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is essential. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset. A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role is required, alongside a proven track record of delivering results under tight deadlines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities are critical, as is the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with industry-specific software, tools, or methodologies is advantageous. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a keen attention to detail, are non-negotiable. Demonstrated leadership or project management experience is preferred.

Holders of a valid TSC certification and an Education Degree or P1 Diploma are eligible to apply.

Requires a minimum of one to three years of hands-on teaching experience, demonstrating proficiency in classroom instruction and student engagement.

You possess strong technical proficiency in widely used software applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

You possess strong communication skills, demonstrated through your ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
