We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to oversee key operational duties, ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to established protocols. Develop, execute, and refine a robust, growth-oriented counselling program that aligns with the INCA Student Standards and the IB philosophy, ensuring a results-driven approach in both planning and implementation while providing ongoing support and evaluation.

Revise the existing curriculum and institutional culture to incorporate social-emotional learning (SEL) and prioritize student well-being.

Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Facilitate the holistic growth, emotional resilience, and inclusion of students, ensuring alignment with the Academies’ Learner Profile.

Offer specialized counselling and pastoral support to students residing on campus, assisting with issues such as adjustment difficulties, homesickness, cultural adaptation, and interpersonal conflicts.

Work in partnership with residential life staff, heads of house, and families to cultivate a secure, supportive, and caring boarding community.

Deliver engaging workshops and collaborative group activities designed to foster a sense of community, enhance overall well-being, and develop essential life skills among boarding students.

Monitor and safeguard the mental health and overall well-being of residential students, ensuring timely referrals to external mental health professionals as required.

As a proactive champion, advance equitable opportunities, ensure broad access, and promote holistic well-being for all students within the school community.

Work in partnership with students, parents, teachers, administrators, residential life staff, and external professionals to support and advance student achievement.

Engage actively in institution-wide projects and support the school’s strategic goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Maintain adherence to the INCA ethical standards and fulfill professional responsibilities with integrity.

Participate consistently in professional growth initiatives and reflective practices to sustain and further develop counselling competencies.

Ensure meticulous record-keeping, uphold strict confidentiality protocols, and adhere rigorously to both school policies and international counselling standards.

The requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Counselling or School Counselling, obtained from an accredited institution, is required.

A valid teaching credential or certification is required for this position.

A valid teaching certificate along with certification as a counselor is required.

Seeking a candidate with at least three years of experience as a school counselor within an international school environment, ideally including familiarity with International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.

Deep experience in the residential or boarding student support environment is preferred.

Proficiency in delivering both one-on-one and group counseling sessions, along with crisis intervention techniques and residential student support services, is demonstrated.

A thorough familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum framework, its assessment methodologies, and the philosophical underpinnings of its educational approach is required.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional organizational and interpersonal abilities, are required.

Demonstrates a strong dedication to fostering cultural awareness and implementing inclusive strategies in all professional interactions and initiatives.
