We are seeking a highly skilled Red Seal-certified Plumbing Specialist to join our team for a prominent high-rise accommodation project located in Nairobi, Kenya. This position encompasses the installation, rigorous testing, commissioning, and meticulous quality control of a comprehensive range of plumbing systems, including domestic water, drainage, firefighting, irrigation, swimming pool, and specialized installations.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including but not limited to [specific tasks such as project management, team coordination, data analysis, or client relations], ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable growth. Monitor progress through key performance indicators, adapting strategies as needed to meet evolving business demands and maintain competitive advantage. Serve as a liaison between leadership and operational teams to facilitate transparent communication and seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to extract and interpret critical information, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of design intent and technical specifications.
Install hot and cold water supply systems, as well as drainage, soil, waste, and vent systems.
Responsibilities include the installation of plumbing fixtures, pumps, tanks, filtration units, and booster systems to ensure optimal operation within designated systems.
Perform underground drainage installation and execute specialized plumbing projects with precision and expertise.
Professional Installation of irrigation systems, wet risers, sprinkler networks, jacuzzi units, and pool piping is required.
Perform pressure tests, drainage evaluations, and system commissioning to ensure operational integrity and compliance with established standards.
Comply with British Standards, local regulations, and OSHA safety requirements to maintain adherence to all applicable standards.
Requirements
Certified plumbers holding a Red Seal endorsement demonstrate comprehensive expertise in plumbing systems, installations, and repairs. Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in the plumbing trade, including a minimum of 5,400 documented hours of practical training. Responsibilities include diagnosing plumbing issues, installing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and appliances, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams are essential. Additionally, candidates should have strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in high-rise or commercial construction projects, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in the field.
Proficient in MEP coordination with specialized expertise in plumbing systems.
Proficiency in firefighting techniques and familiarity with advanced water systems are desirable attributes.
Proficiency in managing projects on a global scale is desirable.
