Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Assistant will support the Bank in accomplishing its strategic objectives by establishing and maintaining efficient and effective systems for procuring goods, works, and services, as well as managing asset disposal processes.

Job Specification

As part of this role, you will be responsible for procuring goods, works, and services in strict compliance with applicable procurement regulations.

Responsibilities include generating and submitting purchase orders for goods and services to obtain necessary approvals.

We maintain close communication with suppliers to guarantee the punctual arrival of products and services.

Responsible for overseeing and regularly revising the roster of prequalified suppliers to ensure accuracy and currency.

Conducting market research initiatives to guarantee that DBK secures optimal value for its investments.

Maintaining secure custody of all procurement records is essential to ensure their integrity and confidentiality.

Engage actively in the quotations opening process.

We ensure the provision of stationery and other essential supplies to employees across Head Office and all branch locations.

Assisting with additional responsibilities as assigned periodically ensures comprehensive support for team objectives and operational needs.

Person Specification

For consideration at this grade level, applicants must meet the following criteria:

A diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management or an equivalent qualification in a related field is required.

Two years or more of relevant professional experience in a Supply Chain Assistant role or an equivalent position is required.

Membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISS) is a requirement for this position.

Holders of a recognized institution’s Computer Proficiency Certificate will be considered.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy are essential qualifications for this role.

Achieved measurable success in professional roles through consistent performance outcomes.

Ensure compliance with all provisions outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
