KHF is in search of an energetic and meticulous Assistant IT and Communications Officer to oversee the Federation’s IT infrastructure and spearhead its communications, digital footprint, and member engagement strategies. Oversee and execute a range of critical duties including project management, team coordination, and strategic planning to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently and effectively. We are seeking a skilled Information Technology professional to oversee and enhance our technological infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled Communications professional to develop and execute strategic messaging across various channels, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and brand integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and editing abilities, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a keen understanding of media relations and digital platforms. Responsibilities include crafting press releases, managing social media accounts, coordinating events, and serving as a spokesperson when necessary. A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in content management systems, analytics tools, and industry-standard software is essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines is critical.

Formulate and implement KHF’s digital communications strategy, encompassing the website, email correspondence, and social media channels.

Craft and distribute member communications such as newsletters, advisories, and event invitations.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java, along with experience using frameworks and libraries relevant to the stack (e.g., React, Node.js, Django).

• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and MongoDB, complemented by expertise in RESTful API design and integration.

• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.

• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git, alongside familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
