Collection Africa is looking to recruit a proactive and technically adept IT Manager. This position will involve overseeing all IT operations, guaranteeing robust, secure, and high-performing systems, while blending strategic leadership with direct systems’ administration. Key responsibilities include spearheading digital transformation initiatives, managing cybersecurity protocols, directing enterprise infrastructure development, and enhancing the efficiency of our core PRSP/SMS and VoIP/SIP communication platforms to facilitate organizational expansion.

Core Resposibilities

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of our IT strategy and infrastructure management initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for aligning technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure systems. Key responsibilities include managing IT projects, leading infrastructure upgrades, and fostering innovation through emerging technologies. Additionally, the role requires expertise in vendor management, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational efficiency and long-term growth.

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure, the Systems Administrator ensures optimal performance, security, and uptime. This role involves managing servers, implementing and enforcing policies, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the Systems Administrator oversees software installations, updates, and backups while collaborating with IT teams to support organizational objectives. Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in relevant operating systems, and experience with virtualization and cloud platforms are essential requirements for this position.

We seek a seasoned professional to oversee cybersecurity and risk management initiatives, ensuring the protection of digital assets and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures, and mitigating potential threats to maintain operational integrity. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in risk assessment, incident response, and security frameworks, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include developing and enforcing security policies, conducting regular audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall resilience. A deep understanding of emerging cyber threats and proactive risk mitigation strategies is essential.

The oversight and optimization of communication systems encompass the comprehensive administration, maintenance, and enhancement of an organization’s infrastructure to ensure seamless and secure information exchange. This role demands expertise in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network-based communication solutions, including VoIP, unified communications, and data networks. Responsibilities include evaluating system performance, implementing upgrades, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align communication systems with business objectives, as well as providing technical support to end-users. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in relevant technologies, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for success in this position.

Leadership excellence, pioneering innovation, and expertise in Digital Transformation and AI Requirements are essential for this role.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely aligned discipline is required.

With a minimum of seven years of IT management expertise within a fast-paced setting, candidates should demonstrate proven leadership in overseeing technology teams and driving strategic initiatives.

Experienced in systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record of expertise in these areas.

Professional certifications, including but not limited to CCNA, GCSE, ITIL, CISSP, CISA, and Security+, are highly beneficial.

Proficiency in PRSP/SMS platforms and VoIP/SIP systems is strongly preferred.
