This six-month internship provides an immersive training program designed to cultivate advanced skills in bid and tender preparation within a technology consulting setting. Participants will collaborate closely with seasoned bid managers, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship throughout the duration.
The program aims to provide interns with practical exposure to compiling competitive tenders, managing tender documentation, assisting in proposal formulation, and gaining insight into the comprehensive delivery of IT solutions. Upon completion, interns will be fully equipped to facilitate complete bid cycles and actively participate in tendering and proposal development initiatives for ICT projects.
We report to the designated supervisor or manager as outlined in the organizational hierarchy, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities align with the established directives and goals.
The incumbent will report directly to the assigned Bid/Tender Manager, who will serve as both supervisor and mentor to the intern throughout the duration of the program.
Duration
This internship is designed to last for a period of six months.
During the initial three-month period, interns will participate in comprehensive training focused on bid preparation, proposal writing, and adherence to tender compliance requirements and documentation standards. Continuous assessments will be conducted to gauge their comprehension and proficiency in bid processes and proposal development.
For the final three months, you will actively engage in live tender processes and proposal assignments, receiving mentorship from the Bid Manager.
Top-performing interns may be offered full-time positions at Green Com, including roles such as Bid & Tender Assistants or Pre-Sales Support Officers.
Responsibilities encompass a comprehensive range of duties essential to the position, including the execution of core tasks and the fulfillment of assigned objectives. Key accountabilities involve ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of performance, and adhering to established protocols. Additional expectations include collaborating with cross-functional teams, addressing ad hoc requests, and contributing to strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously while aligning with broader team goals.
Assist with the compilation and preparation of tender documents, proposals, pre-qualification responses, and all related supporting materials.
Work collaboratively with bid managers, project teams, and associate consultants to collect technical, financial, and administrative data essential for tender submissions.
Attend all pre-bid meetings and evaluations associated with tender processes, proposal development, and compliance documentation preparation.
Review all bid materials to confirm they are precise, thorough, and fully aligned with the client’s stated needs and tender specifications.
Assist in the preparation of technical and financial schedules, working under guidance to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
Develop a comprehensive grasp of Green Com’s business solutions, services, and value propositions to effectively contribute to proposal development.
Engage in a variety of internal innovation initiatives focused on enhancing both the efficiency and quality of the bidding process.
Perform any supplementary assignments delegated in support of ongoing tender and pre-sales initiatives.
