The position at this level will encompass the following duties and responsibilities:
Assisting in the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures constitutes a key responsibility of this role.
Responsibilities include validating and compiling data to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Conducting comprehensive training needs assessments and projections to inform the design and implementation of training programs.
Offering administrative support to the Management Advisory Committee.
Maintaining Human Resource records with meticulous accuracy and promptness is essential to this role.
Overseeing the execution of human resource management decisions in accordance with established rules, regulations, and procedures.
Overseeing payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation and benefits, including tax deductions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develops and consolidates comprehensive reports detailing the execution of performance management systems—specifically performance appraisals—ensuring accurate documentation and insightful analysis of outcomes.
Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training and development initiatives is essential, ensuring all records are current and properly organized.
Person specification
To qualify for appointment to this grade, an officer is required to meet the following criteria.
Over a span of nine (9) years in the workforce, at least three (3) of those should have been dedicated to a role such as Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent position within the Public Service or Private Sector.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or Development—or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM),
A recognized institution must have awarded the Management Course.
Demonstrates strong skills in utilizing a variety of computer applications effectively.
