Job Purpose

The Senior Human Resource & Administration Officer spearheads the organization’s human resources and administrative operations, ensuring seamless functionality, adherence to Kenyan labor regulations, and alignment with strategic objectives and core values. This position encompasses oversight of recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, administrative functions, procurement governance, and office operations, while fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors. Proficiency in regulatory compliance and familiarity with industry standards such as GCP, GLP, or GMP are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with meticulous attention to detail, will be critical for success in this position. The ideal applicant must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline, such as biology, chemistry, or a related field, is required. Prior experience in quality assurance, auditing, or process improvement is highly desirable.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.

A Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management would be beneficial.

Professional affiliation with the Institute of Human Resource Management (SHRINK) or another pertinent professional organization is highly desirable.
