The ideal applicant will instruct Physics in both the IB MYP and DP programs while fostering collaborative partnerships within the Science Department to provide dynamic, high-quality, and student-focused educational opportunities.

Key Accountabilities: Play a pivotal role in executing core operational duties, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and protocols. Oversee a range of critical functions, including but not limited to process optimization, team coordination, and strategic planning, to drive efficiency and productivity. Serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional collaboration, facilitating seamless communication and alignment across departments. Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Develop and execute rigorous physics lessons in strict accordance with the IB MYP and DP frameworks, maintaining alignment with established subject objectives, assessment benchmarks, and inquiry-driven pedagogical approaches.

Create innovative and interactive educational activities—such as hands-on experiments and investigative exercises—to foster students’ conceptual knowledge, critical thinking, and scientific reasoning abilities.

Develop, administer, and oversee both formative and summative assessments in accordance with IB standards, delivering prompt and actionable feedback to enhance student learning outcomes and academic success.

Employ customized instructional approaches to accommodate the varied academic needs of students within a multicultural, international school setting.

Facilitate a secure, welcoming, and dynamic classroom environment that nurtures student well-being, sparks intellectual curiosity, and fosters a passion for lifelong learning.

Effectively and courteously engage with students, parents, and colleagues to foster collaborative relationships that enhance student learning outcomes.

Collaborate on co-curricular programs, school-driven initiatives, and enrichment activities designed to foster comprehensive student development.

Engage continuously in professional learning, reflective practice, and personal development, which includes taking part in International Baccalaureate (IB) professional development opportunities when relevant.

The qualifications necessary for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with three to five years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is mandatory. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience with version control systems like Git are also required. Additionally, knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure would be advantageous.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in software development. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly desirable. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

A recognized university degree in Physics or Physics Education is required.

A Master’s degree is preferred.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of secondary physics instruction experience, ideally in an international curriculum environment.

Strong preference for candidates with prior experience teaching Physics within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) and/or Diploma Program (DP).

Proven expertise in delivering instruction within diverse, multicultural, and international school settings, coupled with a deep comprehension of student-centered, inquiry-driven teaching methodologies and assessment strategies that align with global educational benchmarks.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration must be obtained.
