Job Purpose: To develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen market position. This role involves overseeing key projects, optimizing business processes, and fostering collaboration across departments to achieve company objectives. To achieve the established annual premium targets, the medical insurance business must be expanded. This involves strategic development and implementation of initiatives to drive growth and meet financial objectives.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing a range of critical functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones, optimize workflows, and maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and implement strategic improvements. Serve as a liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and coordination to achieve collective goals. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while upholding ethical and professional conduct. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, supporting their development and fostering a culture of continuous growth and accountability.

Develop new business opportunities, either independently or through third-party partners, across all available sales channels.

Consistently deliver exceptional service to both intermediaries and clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and responsiveness.

To maintain and support current business operations, ensuring seamless continuity and efficiency in all existing processes and client relationships.

Monitor renewal processes for medical insurance policies to ensure continued coverage.

Forward all proposal forms and KYC documentation to the underwriting department for processing.

Maintain adherence to the established credit control policy by facilitating prompt premium collections.

Compile weekly reports as mandated by Corporate Health’s BDM requirements.

Conduct preliminary evaluations of risks in strict adherence to established protocols to facilitate prudent acceptance decisions.

Address all customer and client inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

As stipulated in the approved Delegated Authority Matrix, specific powers and responsibilities are assigned accordingly.

Handle any additional responsibilities that may be delegated from time to time, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators and organizational objectives.

Required qualifications include relevant expertise, hands-on experience, and a proven track record in the field. Applicants must possess the necessary educational credentials and professional background to fulfill the role effectively. A strong understanding of industry standards and best practices is essential, along with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical scenarios. Additionally, candidates should meet any specified certification or licensing requirements pertinent to the position. Demonstrated competence through prior work experience or specialized training will be a key consideration.

A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a closely related business discipline is required.

A recognized professional qualification in insurance, such as ACID or INK, or ongoing progress toward completing an insurance qualification, is required.

Candidates must possess a minimum of three to five years of professional experience within the insurance sector.
