You will be tasked with handling a diverse range of duties, including managing projects, coordinating with team members, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Key requirements involve possessing strong organizational skills, proficiency in relevant software tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. Additionally, you must demonstrate problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work quality.

Account all accounting transactions utilizing supporting documentation obtained via established workflows.

Ensure all financial documents are booked promptly and with complete accuracy.

Ensure all necessary supporting documentation is available for processing activities.

Collaborate with finance teams in various Country Offices to address processing discrepancies and expedite resolution of pending items.

Conduct comprehensive account reconciliation tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Ensure accurate and organized electronic filing and documentation of all accounting records.

Adapt seamlessly to a dynamic operational landscape by incorporating evolving processes and additional responsibilities as new activities are systematically integrated into the Hub.

Facilitate adherence to established internal controls, standardized procedures, and external audit mandates to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.

Contribute to the seamless operation of the Hub by fostering collaborative efforts and proactively identifying areas for enhancement.

Your profile

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required for this position.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate in Kenya, nearing final certification, with a minimum of three years of steadily advancing professional experience.

Preferred are candidates with prior experience in international NGOs and a solid grasp of international donor regulations.

Auditing experience is highly desirable.

Proficient in accounting operations such as maintaining general ledgers, recording journal entries, managing accounts payable, and preparing accurate balance sheets.

Proficient in leveraging MS Office applications, with a strong emphasis on advanced Excel capabilities.
