Position Overview
Our client, a licensed player within the financial services and securities sector, is seeking to recruit a highly analytical, commercially minded, and results-oriented Finance & Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial oversight while ensuring efficient day-to-day business operations. The role requires a professional capable of driving operational excellence, strengthening internal controls, supporting regulatory compliance, and providing data-driven insights that contribute to sustainable business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Strategic Planning
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost management processes.
Monitor cash flow, expenditure, revenue performance, and profitability.
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare periodic financial, operational, and management reports for senior leadership.
Support the development and execution of organizational growth and business strategies.
Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Operations Management
Oversee and manage daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service excellence.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives and business targets.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational optimization initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate operational performance through established KPIs and performance metrics.
Risk Management & Compliance
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Identify operational and financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Support internal and external audit processes and ensure timely implementation of recommendations.
Maintain compliance with industry regulations and corporate policies.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, regulators, and key stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure value for money and quality service delivery.
Collaborate with external partners and consultants on operational and financial initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop staff to build a high-performance and accountable work culture.
Establish performance objectives and support employee development initiatives.
Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, CFA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in operations management with significant financial management responsibilities.
Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, cost control, and operational planning.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional operations.
Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Experience within the financial services, investment, securities, banking, or related sectors will be an added advantage.
