ABOUT THE ROLE

Key accountabilities associated with this position encompass the following:

Deliver engaging, real-world, inquiry-based Computer Studies and Physical Education lessons that adhere strictly to the Kenya curriculum standards.

Foster professional and positive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues, built on mutual respect and constructive engagement.

Develop lessons plans and partner with the Learning Design Team in reviewing and updating lessons when required/ desired.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and maintain an organized and focused learning environment.

Infuse each lesson with enthusiasm and a genuine love for learning, fostering an environment where students are motivated and engaged in pursuit of academic excellence.

Craft and implement appropriate accommodations and adjustments to support the academic and cultural development and achievement of every student.

Ensure students achieve proficiency in the prescribed curriculum and meet established academic benchmarks.

Incorporate interactive technological tools into lesson plans to enrich and optimize instructional methods, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences for students.

Establish and convey clear, high-expectations objectives for every student while delivering constructive feedback that fosters deep comprehension and ownership of their progress.

Consistently administer rewards or consequences based on student behavior while serving as a positive role model to demonstrate and reinforce expected conduct at all times.

Consistently surpass the ambitious objectives set by a fast-growing enterprise.

Fulfill roles as either a teacher on duty or a boarding teacher on duty while contributing to institution-wide initiatives designed for behavior intervention strategies.

Consistently record student academic data promptly and provide transparent updates on student progress to NP families and relevant stakeholders as required.

Assist in the development and coordination of clubs, societies, and other essential co-curricular activities at the school, with the goal of fostering well-rounded student growth.

Act as a homeroom teacher as needed to support classroom management and student engagement.

ABOUT YOU

Required Skills and Qualifications include:

A valid TSC certification along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with specialization in Computer Studies or Physical Education, is required.

Requires a minimum of three years of hands-on teaching experience.

You excel in communication, delivering clear, impactful written and verbal messages with precision and professionalism.

You thrive in dynamic environments and excel amidst evolving circumstances, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in the face of uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.

As a proactive problem solver, you take initiative in detecting issues and diligently resolve them by exploring and implementing effective solutions.
