Job Objective
The role involves serving primarily as teaching staff under permanent, pensionable employment conditions, while concurrently assuming the position of Dean of School on a three-year, renewable contract basis. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics, Research, and Student Affairs, the responsibilities include:
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties and responsibilities to ensure operational excellence and team productivity. Serve as a key contributor to strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success and meet organizational objectives. Monitor workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align expectations and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their professional development and fostering a positive work environment.

Managing instructional delivery and assessment processes to guarantee that courses are delivered promptly, meet established standards, and maintain examination integrity.
Monitoring student and staff participation in scheduled classes to ensure compliance with attendance policies and institutional standards.
Responsible for strategically planning, allocating, and overseeing resources—both human and physical—to ensure their optimal utilization and alignment with organizational objectives.
The School’s long-term viability hinges on maintaining high student retention, ensuring cohort completion, boosting progression rates, and expanding the student population.
Spearheading and fostering research and innovation initiatives within the School.
Directing and motivating grant and proposal development initiatives within the School’s academic environment.
Building and maintaining strategic industry alliances, partnerships, and professional networks is a key responsibility of this role.
The School’s internationalization initiatives are spearheaded, encompassing the expansion of program portfolios, fostering a diverse student body, and enhancing global exposure for both students and faculty through structured exchange opportunities.
Delivering exceptional customer service to students and staff by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and effectively.
Duties include overseeing team performance, monitoring attendance metrics, coordinating leave requests, and enforcing workplace discipline.
Programs are developed and reviewed under close supervision to align offerings with evolving market demands and the School’s strategic growth initiatives.
Enforcing and administering University policies to ensure adherence and compliance across all departments and operations.
Developing and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing graduate employability on an ongoing basis.
Performs additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience and a degree in a related field, preferably from an accredited institution. Proficiency in project management software and advanced Excel skills are essential requirements. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments. Additionally, familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is highly desirable.
A relevant PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited and recognized university is required.
We seek candidates with a minimum of three years of higher education instruction or research experience in a university setting, holding the title of Lecturer or Research Fellow.
Demonstrates a proven track record of scholarly contributions through published works as either a Lecturer or Research Fellow.
Demonstrates proven leadership and administrative expertise, with a strong preference for candidates who have served in roles such as Department Head or Chair, program leader, postgraduate coordinator, or other comparable management positions.
Managed the supervision of a minimum of two postgraduate students through to successful completion of their programs.
Secured external funding for research initiatives as a Lecturer/Research Fellow;
Demonstrates a proven track record of active participation in academic conferences, seminars, or workshops, contributing meaningfully to discussions and knowledge exchange.
