More precisely, your responsibilities will include the following:

Enhance the comprehensive security posture of our Cloud and network infrastructure, specifically within the Mesa ecosystem, to mitigate risks and safeguard data integrity end to end.

Provide expertise in cloud security and network architecture across all projects.

Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), establish standardized templates, and modularize configuration items to enhance efficiency and scalability in implementation processes.

Deploy infrastructure solutions in the cloud and network environments that align precisely with intended purposes, with a strong comprehension of how our services and applications will operate across the network—considering factors such as capacity, capability, and utilization.

Automate network-related controls throughout the organization, encompassing both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Develop and deploy advanced cybersecurity measures, including Artificial Intelligence and Zero Trust frameworks, to fortify network security infrastructure.

Proficient in implementing and managing Azure security services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), security groups, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), Web Application Firewalls (WAS), and related solutions.

Well-versed in cloud security operations, cloud security posture management (CSPM), and cloud workload protection, with demonstrated hands-on experience in these domains.

Proficiency in shared responsibility models within cloud environments is required, along with expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Cloud Threat Prevention specifically for Azure Cloud.

Ensures comprehensive documentation of networks spanning both cloud and on-premises environments.

Ensures network harmonization and standardization across the Region, the local market, and cloud environments.

As the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Cybersecurity in one African market and the backup SPOC for another, you will support the remediation of vulnerabilities, implement patching procedures, and enhance systems hardening efforts. Your responsibilities will include coordinating security initiatives, ensuring timely resolution of identified risks, and maintaining robust security postures across assigned regions.

Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and technical support of a diverse range of cybersecurity systems, which encompasses Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAS), Antivirus solutions, Logging platforms, as well as Network and Host-based Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).

Investigate, diagnose, and resolve cybersecurity incidents classified as Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Address and remediate issues impacting security infrastructure, systems, or networks to maintain optimal performance and adherence to established protocols.

To streamline the enforcement, governance, and continuous enhancement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures, oversee their implementation and management.

Offer assistance in identifying and responding to cybersecurity incidents to ensure timely mitigation and resolution of potential threats.

Set the benchmark for excellence by leading the execution of the Cybersecurity strategy, ensuring each initiative aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices to fortify digital resilience and mitigate risks.

To mitigate Medium Probability and High Impact (MPA) risks, conduct audits and reviews, both internally and externally, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.

Enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity framework by implementing a range of strategic initiatives, such as establishing and maintaining robust Cybersecurity Baselines, to fortify overall defense mechanisms.

Transforms business operations through strategic initiatives that drive measurable growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage, while fostering innovation and sustainable development across key departments and markets.

Collaborate with relevant business areas and processes linked to Network Security to refine and enhance the Operational & Monitoring cybersecurity baselines (CSB) controls.

Develop and deploy robust network security protocols to safeguard data integrity, software functionality, and hardware infrastructure.

Oversee network traffic to identify and mitigate any anomalies, implementing immediate responses to security breaches as they arise.

Perform periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks associated with perimeter security and network vulnerabilities, including unsecured ports.

Create, implement, and uphold robust security policies and protocols to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Partner with IT and other organizational departments to establish and maintain robust security protocols across the enterprise.

Remain informed about recent advancements, emerging threats, and innovative technology solutions in the security domain.

Offer guidance and facilitate knowledge transfer to team members regarding best practices in network security, ensuring comprehensive understanding and implementation.

Support all internal and external audits pertaining to Technology systems and processes, guaranteeing these systems remain free of known audit findings while ensuring prompt closure of any identified findings within the agreed-upon timeframes.

We interact with customers, suppliers, and third parties to facilitate smooth business operations and maintain strong professional relationships.

Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and critical stakeholder requirements within all technology domains.

Oversee the adherence to the Cybersecurity managed services agreement, verifying that all deliverables align with the established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Provides assistance in validating, ensuring punctual completion, and maintaining accuracy of technology audit checklists and user access rights reviews.

We oversee the management of analytical workflows and implement incident response strategies, ensuring efficient and timely execution to maintain operational integrity.

Ensure strict adherence to established procedures for implementing and managing both scheduled and urgent modifications within Technology systems, thereby guaranteeing compliance with change management requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Minimum of three years of experience in network administration, cybersecurity, or a similar technical role is necessary. Proficiency in configuring and managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, is essential. Familiarity with security protocols such as VPN, SSL, and IPsec is also required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues are crucial. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are a must. Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST, is preferred.

Holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any closely related technological field are invited to apply.

Demonstrates a track record of success in a Network Security Senior Specialist position or an equivalent capacity.
