The primary objective of this position is to oversee and execute key responsibilities that align with the department’s strategic goals, ensuring efficient and effective operations. The role demands a comprehensive skill set, including proficiency in relevant software applications and strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data. Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders, fostering productive relationships and driving project success. The position requires a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, along with a proven track record of leadership and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

To achieve established annual premium targets, the role focuses on expanding the medical insurance business.

Oversee and execute a variety of essential duties, including managing daily operations, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to organizational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline workflows, resolve inefficiencies, and foster a productive work environment. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and track progress toward established goals. Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, documentation, and updates to keep stakeholders informed and aligned with strategic objectives. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external parties, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and facilitating clear communication channels.

Identify and secure new business opportunities, either independently or via intermediaries, across all available channels.

Deliver exceptional customer service to both intermediaries and clients consistently.

The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention through proactive service delivery. Duties include identifying opportunities to expand services, addressing client inquiries promptly, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently. Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CRM systems and prior experience in a similar role are preferred.

Monitor medical insurance policy renewals to ensure timely processing and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Please submit the completed proposal forms along with all required Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation to the underwriting department for review.

Promptly collect premiums in accordance with the established credit control policy.

Produce weekly reports in accordance with BDM Corporate Health specifications.

Perform preliminary underwriting evaluations in alignment with established guidelines to guarantee the appropriate acceptance of risk.

Address customer and client inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring clear and accurate communication to resolve concerns effectively.

As stipulated in the approved Delegated Authority Matrix, this position operates under defined authorization parameters.

Execute any additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational needs.

Essential Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is mandatory, and familiarity with relevant regulations and standards is crucial. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills are also essential.

A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a closely related business discipline is required.

A recognized professional insurance qualification—such as ACID or INK—or ongoing advancement toward completing one of these credentials is required.

3–5 years of hands-on experience within the insurance sector.
