Delivers high-level guidance to execute the company’s mission through visionary leadership, cultivating a corporate culture that elevates brand perception, reinforces ethical standards, and upholds strong governance practices.
Ensures the timely and result-driven execution of Board resolutions to advance the company’s strategic priorities, with meticulous preparation of accurate, relevant Board papers delivered promptly to members. Serves as the primary liaison between the Board and Management, facilitating seamless communication and alignment.
Leads the assessment of geothermal potential, oversees the design and implementation of geothermal infrastructure, and manages the drilling operations for geothermal wells.
Develops steam fields and ensures the responsible stewardship of geothermal resources.
Advocates for the advancement, adoption, and market deployment of geothermal direct use initiatives and solutions.
Oversees the strategic management of Human Resources to maximize productivity by implementing policies and initiatives designed to attract and retain highly qualified, skilled employees in alignment with the approved organizational structure.
Offer strategic guidance and expert counsel to the Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary regarding the nation’s energy composition and the formulation of sector policies.
Maintain consistent and timely communication with the Board regarding critical technical, financial, and administrative issues.
To create and present the annual business plans for the Company to the Board, you will develop strategic recommendations and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Person Specifications
To qualify for this position, candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
A minimum of fifteen years of professional experience is required, with at least ten of those years dedicated to a leadership position in a related field.
A recognized university degree at the bachelor’s level is required.
A master’s degree from an accredited university is required.
A leadership course of at least four weeks (cumulative) from an accredited institution is required.
Professional certification and affiliation with a relevant professional organization, as applicable, are required.
Demonstrates strong competency in utilizing various computer applications effectively.
Ensured full compliance with the provisions outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
