As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, you will play a central role in rig operations by providing critical support for tubular running activities essential to well construction. Your responsibilities will include operating mechanical and hydraulic TRS equipment, assisting with rig-up and rig-down procedures, and ensuring the safe handling of casing, tubing, and associated tools.
As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, your duties will encompass overseeing and executing drilling operations with precision and adherence to safety protocols. You will collaborate within a team to ensure efficient well construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting as required. Additionally, you will monitor equipment functionality, perform routine inspections, and promptly address any mechanical or operational issues to maintain seamless operations. Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance are essential for this role.
Responsible for the proficient and secure operation of TRS equipment, including power tongs, elevators, slips, spiders, torque-turn systems, and hydraulic power units.
The individual will support the assembly and disassembly of TRS equipment, such as stabbing boards, power units, and tubular handling tools.
Effective communication with the drill floor operator, clients, and subcontracted personnel is essential to facilitate coordinated and safe operational execution.
Conducting preliminary troubleshooting, thorough inspections, and routine maintenance of TRS equipment before, during, and after operational activities ensures optimal performance and reliability.
You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all safety protocols, participating in rig safety meetings, and promptly reporting any hazards or operational issues as they arise.
Responsibilities include preparing job documentation, compiling activity reports, and executing operational tasks as directed by the Operations Coordinator.
To excel in this position, you will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Proficiency in the oil and gas sector is essential, with a preference for candidates possessing prior field experience in TRS or drilling operations.
Demonstrates a solid mechanical aptitude and proficiency in safely and accurately operating a variety of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with rig crews, supervisors, and clients, even in high-pressure situations.
A two-year technical degree or an equivalent combination of formal technical training and hands-on field experience is preferred.
We seek candidates with exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to adhering to established procedures, conducting thorough equipment inspections, and ensuring continuous operational readiness.
Capable of accommodating travel for both onshore and offshore assignments, alongside flexible work schedules that may include on-call duties and shift-based operations.
