What You’ll Do
Lead consumer marketing initiatives throughout East Africa, while also assisting with culturally tailored campaigns in other Sub-Saharan African regions.
Partner with diverse teams spanning marketing, music, partnerships, media, analytics, and creative disciplines to collaboratively develop and execute campaigns from initial strategy through seamless implementation.
Leverage both platform-based and external data insights to uncover audience behaviors, emerging market opportunities, and key growth drivers, thereby shaping strategic marketing initiatives.
In partnership with internal stakeholders and external agency collaborators, craft detailed creative and media briefs that effectively articulate objectives and strategies.
Spearhead strategic efforts to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention for both Free and Premium audiences.
Build and cultivate strategic alliances with local influencers, agencies, and cultural hubs to enhance brand visibility and drive consumer engagement.
Evaluate campaign effectiveness and derive actionable insights to inform future initiatives and refine market strategies.
Tailor global marketing strategies to align seamlessly with local consumer preferences and market dynamics, ensuring relevance and impact across varied demographic segments and regional conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to customize campaigns while maintaining consistent brand messaging and achieving overarching business objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams and regional partners to champion local music and cultural initiatives, fostering meaningful marketing opportunities.
Who You Are
With a minimum of four years of experience in consumer marketing, brand marketing, or campaign management within East Africa, you bring a proven track record to the role.
You possess a proven track record of collaborating across diverse markets in Sub-Saharan Africa or executing region-wide campaigns with measurable success.
With a proven track record in brand strategy, consumer insights, digital marketing, media, or project management, you bring valuable expertise to the role. Your background demonstrates deep familiarity with strategic initiatives, market analysis, campaign execution, and operational coordination, enabling you to drive impactful outcomes.
You possess a proven track record of executing high-impact campaigns in dynamic digital sectors, including FMCG, retail, entertainment, or technology-driven enterprises.
You possess the ability to convert consumer and cultural insights into impactful marketing strategies and campaigns.
You possess a strong aptitude for analyzing data and performance metrics to assess outcomes and enhance marketing efficiency.
You must effectively handle competing priorities without compromising precision or the standard of your work.
