Our client, a prominent telecommunications company, is actively seeking a Field Operations Engineer specializing in Fiber to join their dynamic team. This role will involve hands-on technical responsibilities in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber-optic networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for end-users. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in telecommunications engineering, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in field operations, preferably within the fiber-optic sector. Job summary/ Job purpose/ Role Intent:

Perform comprehensive duties encompassing routine maintenance, corrective maintenance, root cause analysis, and network quality initiatives for the fiber optic network with diligence and precision.

Assesses and troubleshoots aged or defective fiber network infrastructure while performing routine preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections of optical cables, closure kits, ducts, and manholes.

Create sensor-based indicators and perform thorough inspections to verify that the fiber optic systems are free of any faults that might compromise their operational reliability.

Performs routine assessments of the designated system to identify and address any detected malfunctions or deficiencies.

Prepare and oversee system records and diagrams to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct fiber optic maintenance tasks, including performing point of break/link analysis, splicing, core alignment, and validating splice quality using appropriate tools and techniques.
