You will undertake the following responsibilities, among others:

Enhance the end-to-end security of our Cloud and network infrastructure throughout the Mesa processes, ensuring robust protection at every stage.

Provide comprehensive cloud security and network architecture assistance across all projects, ensuring robust implementation and adherence to best practices.

Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), establish standardized templates, and modularize and industrialize configuration items and their implementation.

Redesign and implement cloud and network architectures tailored to specific requirements, ensuring seamless integration and performance of our services and applications across the network infrastructure while optimizing capacity, capability, and utilization.

Develop and deploy automated solutions for network-related controls throughout the organization, encompassing both cloud and on-premises environments.

Develop and deploy advanced cybersecurity strategies, incorporating cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, Zero Trust frameworks, and other network security solutions.

Proficient in leveraging Azure security services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Groups, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), Web Application Firewalls (WAS), and related tools to ensure robust security infrastructure.

Accomplished in implementing and managing Cloud Security Operations, overseeing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and safeguarding Cloud Workload Protection systems.

Proficient in shared responsibility models within cloud environments, with a strong understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Cloud Threat Prevention on Microsoft Azure.

Ensures comprehensive documentation of networks spanning both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

To oversee the alignment and uniformity of network systems throughout the Region and local market, as well as cloud environments, ensuring consistent integration and adherence to established standards.

As the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Cybersecurity in one African market and as a backup SPOC for another, you will support the remediation of vulnerabilities, facilitate patch management, and strengthen systems through hardening measures.

Responsibilities include maintaining and providing support for a diverse range of cybersecurity systems, such as firewalls, web application firewalls (WAS), antivirus software, logging solutions, and both network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

Investigate and resolve Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 incidents that disrupt or impair Cybersecurity operations, ensuring timely restoration of service and adherence to established protocols.

Implement, oversee, and enhance cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure robust organizational security.

Ensure timely and effective support for the identification and mitigation of cybersecurity incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.

Set and uphold rigorous benchmarks to successfully execute the Cybersecurity strategy.

Implement corrective measures to mitigate Material Planning Accuracy (MPA) risks and conduct both internal and external audits and reviews.

Enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity resilience through a variety of strategic initiatives, including the implementation of Cybersecurity Baselines among other measures.

The position plays a pivotal role in driving business outcomes, contributing directly to key organizational objectives and growth initiatives. Collaborate across all relevant business areas and processes tied to Network Security to optimize the Operational & Monitoring cybersecurity baselines (CSB) controls.

To develop and deploy robust network security protocols for the safeguarding of data, software, and hardware systems.

Monitor network traffic continuously to identify any anomalies or suspicious behavior, promptly investigating and mitigating potential security breaches as they arise.

Perform periodic evaluations of security measures and conduct vulnerability scans to identify potential risks associated with perimeter defenses and network-related vulnerabilities, including open or unsecured ports.

Establish, implement, and maintain robust security policies and procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Partner with IT and other departments to establish and maintain robust security protocols across the organization.

Remain informed about emerging security trends, evolving threats, and innovative technological solutions.

Facilitate educational sessions and share expertise with team members to enhance understanding of network security protocols and best practices.

Facilitate comprehensive internal and external audits pertaining to Technology systems and processes, maintain their compliance by ensuring the absence of known audit findings, and guarantee the timely closure of all identified audit findings within the stipulated deadlines.

We engage with clients, vendors, and external stakeholders to foster productive relationships and ensure seamless collaboration across all business operations.

Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and key stakeholder mandates within the Technology domains.

Ensures adherence to the Cybersecurity managed services contract, verifying compliance with the agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maintain operational standards.

We provide assistance to ensure the validation, timely completion, and accuracy of Technology audit checklists and user access rights reviews.

Responsibilities include overseeing analytical procedures and implementing incident response protocols to ensure timely and effective resolution. This role requires meticulous planning and execution of analytical workflows while maintaining readiness to address and mitigate any operational disruptions.

Ensure strict adherence to proper implementation and change management processes for all planned and emergency modifications within Technology systems.

Assist in the development and enhancement of the Security and Privacy by Design Assurance (SODA) frameworks to ensure alignment with GDPR mandates and broader organizational requirements.

Regularly assess and enforce security policies and controls to align with business needs and evolving security challenges.

Responsibilities include establishing and configuring an analytics framework and implementing relevant tools to support data-driven decision-making processes.

Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to enhance cybersecurity operations by streamlining critical processes, ensuring sustained advancements and operational excellence.

Facilitate internal and third-party service review meetings to assess performance, identify service enhancements, ensure quality standards, and evaluate process efficiency.

Develop strategic recommendations to enhance cybersecurity service improvement initiatives and rigorously oversee the execution of these actions to ensure timely and effective completion.

Facilitate information security awareness and training initiatives for all MPA users as well as third-party vendors.

Planned incident response strategies and emergency communication protocols for internal and external stakeholders are developed and implemented.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. A minimum of five years of professional experience in software development is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is mandatory. Experience with full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end technologies, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments are critical. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are necessary.

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable technology-focused discipline is required.

Demonstrated expertise in network security, evidenced by extensive experience in a senior specialist capacity or comparable position.

Proven expertise in network protocols, firewall management, VPN technologies, and security solutions is required.

Professional credentials in network security are required, such as Compton Security+ or CCNA Security certification.

Proficient in Network Security with a comprehensive skill set encompassing advanced methodologies, robust protocols, and cutting-edge technologies to safeguard digital infrastructures against evolving cyber threats. Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, and management of secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions. Capable of conducting thorough risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security gaps. Proven ability to develop and enforce security policies, compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and best practices to ensure organizational resilience. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex security logs, monitor network traffic, and respond to incidents with precision. Experience in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures, along with familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, Radar, ELK Stack) for real-time threat detection and response.

A minimum of five years of comprehensive experience in Network Security is required, with a focus on Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Application Firewalls, VPN administration, Content Filters, and Security Scanning tools.

A minimum of two years of dedicated experience in implementing and maintaining Network Security Solutions is required.

Proven track record with a variety of security tools is essential for this role.
