We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee Business, Relationship, and Sales Management, comprising 70% of the role’s core responsibilities. This position requires expertise in cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring client satisfaction through tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales leadership, client engagement, and business development, with the ability to analyze market trends and optimize performance metrics. You will enhance client services by proactively engaging in strategic initiatives that drive business expansion, with a focus on the development and implementation of innovative custodial products.

Conduct in-person or virtual meetings with all Custody Clients at minimum, on a quarterly basis.

Formulate and execute a strategic outreach plan targeting prospective clients.

We actively identify, pursue, and submit proposals in response to RFP, RFI, and pension scheme tenders while ensuring strict adherence to all application deadlines.

Oversee operational service delivery in strict alignment with the approved business plan, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and strategic product partners to ensure seamless execution.

Ensure every client requirement, communication, or query logged is addressed within 24 hours of receipt. In instances where additional investigation is needed before providing a final response, an acknowledgment of receipt should be sent on the same day.

Deliver prompt updates to clients regarding any developments affecting market conditions or the status of their assets.

Operational management responsibilities encompass approximately 10% of the role, focusing on overseeing processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and optimal performance across daily operations. This includes monitoring workflows, implementing best practices, and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance productivity and maintain high standards of service delivery. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate resources effectively while ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

Responsible for facilitating the establishment of new customer accounts, this role involves conducting thorough customer identification and verification processes in accordance with regulatory standards. Collaborates closely with clients to gather necessary documentation and personal details required for seamless onboarding. Ensures all account setup procedures are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to compliance policies. Acts as a primary point of contact to address any inquiries or concerns raised during the account creation process.

Ensure seamless transfer of client assets from alternative custodians and stockbrokers for both new and existing clients.

The Corporate Actions team is responsible for overseeing and executing critical financial events that impact securities, including mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, stock splits, tender offers, and dividend distributions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure. Key responsibilities involve validating corporate action announcements, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing timely updates to stakeholders. This involves ensuring that all activities strictly adhere to applicable local regulations, jurisdictional requirements, bank risk management frameworks, and the organization’s established custodial services policy guidelines.

Assist the Head of Institutional Banking and Custodial Services in overseeing and guiding Operational Risk Management and Controls for the custody service, with the objective of minimizing audit exceptions for the unit.

Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory obligations and critical deadlines, promptly escalating any operational incidents, potential losses, or customer complaints to the Head of Institutional Banking and Custodial Services for immediate resolution.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or finance, along with at least three years of professional experience in a related industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel or SQL. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team. Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.

A relevant business qualification, such as a Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or Banking/Finance, or an equivalent qualification, is required.

Seeking candidates with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CSI) qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial services principles and practices.

Formal education or certification in relationship management principles and practices is required.
