Our client is in search of a highly motivated and seasoned Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will assume complete operational accountability, enhance their organizational processes, and spearhead the next stage of their growth trajectory.
Oversee and execute a diverse array of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational excellence. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive project momentum, while maintaining rigorous adherence to established timelines and quality benchmarks. Lead initiative planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring to optimize efficiency and achieve strategic goals. Oversee the operations of all seven departments, including Sales, Customer Service, Transport, Marketing, Call Center, Warehouse, and Operations.
Achieve a 20 to 30% increase in revenue compared to the previous year while enhancing profitability.
Deliver outstanding client experiences by expediting resolutions for delays, breakages, and claims.
Manage air freight operations, sea container logistics, warehousing activities, transportation services, and customs clearance procedures.
Construct and nurture robust, worldwide alliances while integrating advanced technological solutions to enhance operational tracking and overall efficiency.
Candidates must possess the following educational qualifications and professional experience: a relevant undergraduate degree in education, child development, or a closely related field, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a similar role. Prior to work in an educational setting, such as a school, tutoring center, or online learning platform, is strongly preferred. Additionally, familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools is required, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace is essential. Experience with project management and collaboration in cross-functional teams is also advantageous.
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of professional experience in freight forwarding or logistics is required, with a demonstrated specialization in air freight and containerized sea freight operations.
Minimum 5 years of experience in senior executive leadership positions, including roles such as General Manager, Director, or Chief Executive Officer, with full accountability for Profit & Loss management.
Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional client service and enhancing operational efficiency within logistics environments.
Proficient in navigating the Kenyan and broader East African regulatory frameworks, including those governed by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya Ports Authority (PA), and Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEYS).
A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related discipline is required, with preference given to candidates holding an MBA or certifications such as CULT or FIAT.
