Position Overview

The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider maintains the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating amenities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and proficient equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.

Oversee a range of essential duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance standards to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making. Foster a collaborative work environment by mentoring employees, delegating responsibilities, and promoting professional growth opportunities. Coordinate cross-functional projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure seamless communication across departments to achieve shared goals. Maintain accountability for budget adherence, resource allocation, and risk management to optimize efficiency and sustainability.

Ensure guest safety by vigilantly overseeing pool and boating zones, implementing safety protocols, and addressing emergencies without delay.

Facility Maintenance involves ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas while monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any discrepancies.

Operate and secure boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment with diligence, maintaining proper storage and ensuring routine upkeep to uphold safety and functionality standards.

Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guests’ inquiries regarding poolside amenities, boat excursions, and recreational offerings, while offering precise guidance and approachable assistance throughout their experience.

Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to ensure seamless coordination of guest activities.

Qualifications

Swimming Skills: Proficiency in swimming is essential; candidates holding a lifeguard certification will be given preference.

Demonstrated ability to safely operate small boats or watercraft is required.

CPR and First Aid certification are strongly preferred qualifications for this position.

A background in hospitality, including prior experience in hotels, resorts, or recreational establishments, is highly beneficial.

Demonstrated capacity to engage courteously and effectively with guests from varied cultural and social backgrounds.
