The Transport and Dispatch Manager will oversee the strategic development and day-to-day functioning of a comprehensive Transport Department. This role requires guiding the department’s transformation while maintaining full responsibility for both in-house and outsourced logistics operations, including regulatory adherence and performance accountability. Critical objectives involve mitigating operational risks such as fuel theft, unauthorized route changes, and driver misconduct, optimizing interdepartmental delivery coordination, and enforcing strict compliance with industry standards. Additionally, the position demands the implementation of innovative, technology-based solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance supply chain visibility, and reinforce cost-effective practices.

Professionals with expertise in Fleet Management, Transport Coordination, Dispatch Operations, or Route Planning are required. Candidates must possess relevant training in these specialized areas to ensure operational efficiency and strategic oversight.

Skilled in utilizing ERP systems, Fleet Management Systems, GPS Tracking Systems, and Transport Management Software with a high level of expertise.

With a minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in transport operations, dispatch coordination, fleet supervision, or logistics management, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of overseeing and optimizing logistical processes.

Spearheads a spectrum of critical duties, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, oversight of cross-functional projects, and management of daily operations to ensure seamless workflow and optimal performance. Drives innovation through data analysis, process improvements, and collaboration with stakeholders to align objectives with organizational goals. Maintains compliance with industry regulations, upholds quality standards, and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, mentors team members, allocates resources efficiently, and reports progress to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.

Monitor garage operations and the efficiency of mechanics by tracking turnaround benchmarks for repair jobs, then compile and present reports on compliance with these standards.

To establish a proactive maintenance strategy, develop and enforce a preventive maintenance schedule aimed at minimizing downtime and maximizing the operational lifespan of critical assets.

Collaborate seamlessly with the Watch Tower to ensure immediate, real-time updates on daily truck availability.

Monitor and enhance truck turnaround time for each trip on an ongoing basis.

Diligently validate fuel consumption, mileage logs, and petty cash disbursement requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with established financial protocols.

Source, contract, and oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers while verifying adherence to organizational standards, regulatory permits, and compliance requirements.

To drive down operational costs, focus on enhancing route optimization, enforcing strict fuel efficiency standards, and meticulously managing spare parts inventory.

Serve as the primary yard coordinator, responsible for maintaining order, enforcing discipline, and ensuring strict adherence to standard operating procedures.

Establish and track driver performance metrics, including turnaround time, adherence to safe driving practices, fuel efficiency, and timely delivery of shipments.
