Job purpose

To prioritize retailer engagement through on-site visits, enhancing brand recognition and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee and execute core duties essential to the role, including but not limited to strategic planning, team leadership, and operational oversight. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with organizational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects with company objectives, ensuring seamless integration of resources and expertise. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends, address gaps, and drive continuous improvement. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication, resolving escalated issues, and fostering collaborative relationships. Stay abreast of industry advancements and regulatory changes to maintain competitive advantage and ensure adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.

Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents by targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores through SSO and Agent Recruitment & Mapping initiatives.

Regular visits must be conducted to SOS and agents as per the agreed route and beat plans to maintain call rates.

Provide and deliver essential business tools required for seamless transactions at both SSO and agent outlets, ensuring proper implementation. Additionally, conduct comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to execute processes efficiently.

Conduct anti-money laundering (AML) training sessions for agents, focusing on compliance with AML regulations and the Know Your Customer (KYC) process as it pertains to the SIM REG framework. Additionally, provide specialized training for service support officers (SOS) on KYC procedures within the SIM REG context to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

The team is responsible for managing float and stock coverage, as well as overseeing sales activities. They must diligently enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents while ensuring Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient stock of SIM cards for new registrations and activations.

Develop and enforce merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of necessary merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.

The ideal candidate must possess a combination of academic credentials and relevant professional experience, demonstrating expertise in the field. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, with advanced degrees or specialized certifications preferred for certain roles. Candidates should exhibit a proven track record of success in similar positions, supported by verifiable references or portfolio samples. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
