Position Overview
The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating amenities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and careful management of equipment to provide an exceptional leisure experience.
Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Implement robust processes to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Lead initiatives that enhance productivity, foster innovation, and mitigate risks while maintaining high ethical and professional standards. Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and optimize workflows for sustained growth. Act as a liaison between senior leadership, teams, and stakeholders to align goals, clarify expectations, and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Ensure guest safety by vigilantly overseeing pool and boating areas, implementing preventive measures to minimize accident risks, enforcing established safety protocols, and providing immediate response to any emergencies.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas; monitor water quality and promptly report any discrepancies or concerns.
Operate and secure boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment while maintaining proper storage and upkeep.
Assist guests by addressing poolside needs, coordinating boat rides, and facilitating recreational activities with clear communication and a friendly demeanor.
Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to organize and deliver guest activities seamlessly.
Qualifications
Swimming Skills: Exceptional proficiency in swimming; certification as a lifeguard is a plus.
Boating Experience: Applicants should possess prior hands-on experience operating small boats or watercraft in a safe and proficient manner.
Highly desirable qualifications include CPR and First Aid certification.
A background in hospitality, particularly with prior experience in hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly advantageous.
Adept at fostering positive interactions by engaging warmly yet professionally with guests from varied cultural and social backgrounds.
