Our client, an esteemed and expanding law firm, is in search of a driven and meticulous Junior Associate to enhance its team. The chosen applicant will assist in providing exceptional legal services across the firm’s diverse practice areas, fostering client satisfaction, overseeing matter management, and furthering the practice’s ongoing development.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering efficiency across all operations. Develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and achieve measurable outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth. Maintain rigorous adherence to compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices to uphold operational integrity and accountability. Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous professional development while delivering consistent, high-quality results.

Draft and prepare litigation documents—such as pleadings, applications, and correspondence—while ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.

You will appear in court on behalf of clients, delivering professional and skilled representation throughout legal proceedings.

Prepare, examine, and finalize legal documents such as human resources policies and procedural manuals, employment agreements, and commercial contracts.

Provide legal services with efficiency, precision, and professionalism.

Perform comprehensive legal research and deliver well-reasoned, succinct, and actionable legal opinions.

Craft compelling legal articles and insightful thought leadership content to share expertise and engage audiences.

Create educational resources and lead instructional sessions for clients and internal teams as needed.

Compile legal documentation and internal reports while adhering to established deadlines.

Ensure prompt invoicing and debt recovery by supporting billing and collection processes.

Maintain unwavering adherence to the Firm’s core principles, corporate culture, and professional benchmarks across all assigned tasks.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, in alignment with the Firm’s established policies and procedures.

Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Prior experience in project management or leadership is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and best practices within the industry is highly desirable.

A recognized university must award a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree as an essential qualification.

An individual who serves as a legal advocate in the High Court of Kenya and possesses a current, valid practicing certificate.

A minimum of three years of post-admission experience is required.

Mandatory requirements include a proven track record in litigation practice.

Seasoned professionals with a track record of preparing legal documents, performing comprehensive legal research, and providing strategic client counsel will be considered.

Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning, research methodologies, and legal writing is essential.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and build strong professional relationships, fostering collaboration with clients and team members alike.

Proficiency in employment law and commercial law, coupled with a strong commitment to deepening expertise in these domains, is required.
