Job Description

Guarantee prompt room turnover, consistently meeting satisfactory timelines while executing tasks with optimal efficiency.

Maintain the highest accuracy and adherence to Fairmont’s established standards in all Room Attendants’ duties.

Daily, Room Attendants are assigned specific rooms and duties to ensure thorough and efficient cleaning and maintenance of guest accommodations.

Overseeing the inventory of guest supplies to ensure adequate stock levels is a primary responsibility.

Responsibilities include devising comprehensive deep cleaning schedules for both rooms and corridors, with the critical task of supervising Room Attendants to guarantee strict adherence to the established protocols.

Upon completion of each task, conduct a thorough inspection of the rooms to verify the work done, utilizing the provided checklists for accuracy and efficiency. At the conclusion of your shift, ensure all tasks have been properly reviewed and documented by signing off accordingly.

Based on performance evaluations, recommend employees for promotion, recognition, or termination to ensure optimal staffing and maintain high service standards.

Maintain comprehensive records of overtime and special days worked by room attendants, ensuring all entries in the Master roll are accurate and up-to-date on a daily basis.

Block rooms for scheduled maintenance and deep cleaning initiatives, ensuring advance notification is provided to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Promptly notify Engineering and the Executive Housekeeper of any defective machinery to ensure timely follow-up.

Oversee the prioritization of cleaning tasks, including VIP assignments, make-up services, early arrivals, and Do Not Disturb requests.

Manages the procurement and inventory of work supplies and consumables, ensuring alignment with allocated budgetary constraints, while overseeing the availability and distribution of all rooms’ requisitioned materials.

Attendants have access to a comprehensive range of cleaning supplies and amenities to ensure thorough service delivery. They are equipped with all necessary tools and materials required to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout their duties.

Ensures timely communication with the Guest regarding any delays in service delivery.

Work collaboratively with the Coordinator to address any urgent situations that arise during the shift, such as newly identified traces, rooms that cannot be sold as anticipated, allocation changes, guest requests, and maintenance follow-ups.

Ensure that all Room Attendants maintain a consistently professional and polished appearance at all times.

Frequent meetings with Room Attendants will be conducted to review performance, outline training initiatives, and address any necessary disciplinary measures.

Maintain proper posture at all times, ensuring you remain forward-facing with an attentive, pleasant, and professional demeanor.

Comprehend all room classifications and their respective configurations thoroughly.

Ensure adherence to all hotel policies, procedures, and the guidelines outlined in the employment handbook.

Ensure adherence to the company’s established grooming and uniform policies throughout employment.
