The position is a full-time, in-person Student Admission Officer role headquartered in Nairobi. Responsibilities include assisting prospective students at every stage of the admissions process, addressing their inquiries, delivering detailed program information, and leading campus tours or informational sessions.
The position encompasses evaluating applications, validating documentation, and collaborating with academic and administrative departments to facilitate prompt admission determinations. Additionally, the officer will preserve meticulous records of leads and applicants, conduct follow-ups with prospective students, and contribute to both local and international recruitment initiatives.
This role involves engaging in outreach activities, education fairs, and school visits, maintaining a courteous and professional environment for applicants and their families throughout the process.
Qualifications
Proven ability to establish meaningful connections with prospective students, parents, and internal stakeholders through exceptional interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated expertise or practical exposure to international admissions procedures and the dynamics of cross-cultural interaction is required.
Proven ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively in both spoken and written formats, ensuring effective delivery during presentations, client consultations, and follow-up communications.
Demonstrated proficiency in customer service, emphasizing timely responses, a professional demeanor, and student-focused assistance.
Individuals should possess either a background in or a strong passion for the education sector, particularly in student recruitment.
A bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, or a closely related field—or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience—is required.
Capable of fulfilling full-time, on-site responsibilities in Nairobi while effectively balancing competing priorities and adhering to established admissions’ deadlines.
Applicants should demonstrate competence in essential office software applications and familiarity with student information systems or customer relationship management platforms. Familiarity with admissions processes or counseling services is also beneficial.
