POSITION SUMMARY

Kitchen Support Experts provide essential assistance to multiple hotel operations, collaborating across various departments such as the kitchen, food and beverage, and employee dining facilities. They enter and retrieve data from computer databases via keyboards, mice, or trackballs to maintain accurate records and files. Additionally, they operate standard office equipment, excluding computers, and draft correspondence, memos, and other materials using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. These professionals also establish and manage both digital and physical filing systems to organize records, reports, and documents efficiently. They compile, duplicate, sort, and file paperwork related to office functions, business transactions, and other operational activities while leveraging computers to input and retrieve work-related information.

You are responsible for adhering to all company policies, safety protocols, and security measures, while promptly reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Completion of required safety training and certifications is mandatory. Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance, uphold the confidentiality of proprietary information, and safeguard company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with established company standards. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and visitors. Foster collaborative working relationships and contribute to team efforts to achieve shared objectives. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. The role may require prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking, as well as reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. You must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and position objects up to 25 pounds independently. Additional duties as assigned by supervisors may also be required.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and experience with DevOps practices are highly advantageous. Additionally, prior involvement in Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.

Degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related discipline is required.

Candidates must possess a minimum of three to four years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position.

Proven experience in a hotel or luxury service setting is strongly preferred, with a particular emphasis on roles within a four- or five-star establishment.
