Reports directly to the Area Sales Manager, serving as a key member of the sales leadership team to drive regional revenue growth and strategic execution of sales initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with the Area Sales Manager to align daily operations with broader sales objectives, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to company targets. Responsibilities include regular performance tracking, pipeline management, and providing actionable insights to optimize sales strategies within the assigned territory. Additionally, the position requires active participation in team meetings, training sessions, and sales planning activities to support the overall success of the sales organization.
Job purpose
To prioritize retail visits, enhancing brand recognition and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.
Oversee and execute core duties to ensure operational excellence, including managing daily workflows, maintaining high performance standards, and fostering team collaboration. Implement strategic initiatives to optimize productivity, enhance quality control, and drive continuous improvement across departments. Serve as a liaison between leadership and staff to align goals, resolve challenges, and uphold company policies. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for enhancement, and recommend data-driven solutions. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and organizational guidelines while promoting a culture of accountability and innovation.
Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Consistently maintain call rates by making regular visits to SOS and Agents along the designated routes as outlined in the beat plans.
Provide and manage all essential tools required for seamless transactions at SSO and agent outlets, while also conducting comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents to ensure adherence to established processes.
Conduct anti-money laundering (AML) training sessions and evaluate agents’ understanding of AML protocols, while also instructing them on Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures in compliance with SIM REG regulations.
Float and stock management responsibilities include monitoring and upholding the 1.5x stock rule for agents, while simultaneously ensuring Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient SIM inventory to facilitate seamless new registrations and activations.
We are responsible for establishing and upholding merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of necessary merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.

With a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in sales and distribution within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or telecommunications (Telcos) sectors, you will bring valuable expertise to this role.
