We are seeking a receivables’ accountant to join our client’s accounts department, where they will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness by overseeing debtor account management, invoicing, and billing processes—all of which are critical to maintaining and improving business profitability.

Job Description

Prepare and distribute updated statements of account for debtors.

Consistently distribute statements of accounts to all debtors on a scheduled basis.

Revise the organization’s accounts receivable report to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Craft precise and prompt quotes and invoices for clients.

Consistently provide debtors with updated reports regarding the status of their accounts.

Ensure all outstanding client payments are pursued and resolved promptly.

Thoroughly examine accounting documents to verify the precision of the information presented.

Help develop and enforce internal financial control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Consistently compile and communicate the debtor account status to management in a timely manner.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of all accounting documents pertinent to the role or department.

Review and reconcile accounts monthly to facilitate the accounting process, prepare necessary journal entries, and ensure adherence to established accounting standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to guarantee timely shipment deliveries.

Developing the standard costs associated with products is a key responsibility.

Develop and refine business projections by continuously monitoring sales trends, revenue streams, and expense tracking to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.

Ensure all banking transactions are completed within the designated timeframes and that all relevant documentation is properly filed.

The position necessitates a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, supplemented by a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related capacity. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and project management, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is essential, as is the capacity to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
