Iamb County is one of Kenya’s 47 administrative regions, situated in the central part of the country. Spanning 2,543.5 square kilometers, it includes 476.3 square kilometers of forest cover, as reported in the 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census. Geographically, Iamb County is bordered by Nairobi and Kannada to the south, Machos to the east, Murano’a to the north and northeast, Pandarus to the northwest, and Nakuru to the west, as illustrated in the accompanying map. The county’s coordinates range from 00°25′ to 1°20′ South latitude and 36°31′ to 37°15′ East longitude.
