Position Summary
PA SGR is in search of a seasoned Senior Communications Officer to spearhead corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position will enhance program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through strategic communication efforts.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive set of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational efficiency to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity. Monitor departmental performance, analyze key indicators, and provide data-driven insights to senior management for informed decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development while managing resources effectively to meet established goals and deadlines.
Directly oversee and advance the execution of PA SGR’s Communications Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and enhancing stakeholder engagement through targeted messaging and coordinated initiatives.
Oversee the company’s communications strategy, ensuring consistent branding and maintaining positive public relations.
Responsible for managing the website, digital platforms, and social media channels.
Oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation.
Cultivate and enhance relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to foster positive public perception and collaboration.
Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising initiatives while ensuring effective communication of program activities and achievements to stakeholders.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, alongside a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high standards of accuracy. Prior leadership or project management experience is highly desirable.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of eight years of experience in a comparable senior communications position, candidates should bring a wealth of expertise and leadership to the role.
Proficient in crafting compelling narratives, creating engaging written content, and producing dynamic multimedia assets are essential for this role.
Accomplished professionals should possess a proven track record in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and executing strategic communication initiatives.
Proficient in English with strong communication abilities; fluency in French is considered advantageous.
