Purpose

The Regional Director, Africa holds a pivotal leadership role, tasked with driving revenue growth, fostering partnerships, and expanding Women for Women International’s strategic footprint throughout the continent. Additionally, this position provides direct line management, operational coordination, and leadership guidance to Country Directors across the region.

The position enhances WWI’s unified operational framework by integrating country strategy, program execution, operational efficiency, and revenue growth initiatives across the African continent. The Regional Director, Africa leads the development and implementation of a long-term regional strategy that leverages philanthropic support, institutional financing, corporate collaborations, diaspora contributions, and high-net-worth donations, complemented by strategic earned-income initiatives or investment-aligned opportunities.

This role not only drives regional revenue expansion but also provides strategic leadership in mentoring and overseeing Country Directors, fostering cross-country synergy, and reinforcing planning rigor and performance accountability. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for proactively identifying and addressing opportunities and risks in close partnership with Programs, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Communications.

This position acts as Africa’s representative on the Global Revenue Team and other pertinent global forums, while serving as WWI’s key external ambassador for regional partnerships and market development initiatives across the continent.
