"Empowering women survivors of war toward stability and economic independence."
Since 1993, Women for Women International has provided life-changing support to nearly 429,000 marginalized women in conflict-affected countries. Operating in eight nations, the organization delivers direct assistance, resources, and critical skills training to help women transition from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency. Participants gather in secure environments to develop essential life, business, and vocational skills, with each woman receiving a monthly stipend to ensure her full engagement. By focusing on regions with the highest inequality, the initiative prioritizes women who have been overlooked—particularly those who are war and conflict survivors. Through its *Stronger Women, Stronger Nations* program, participants overcome isolation by joining small peer groups where they gain financial literacy, launch businesses, advocate for their rights, improve health outcomes, and challenge harmful societal norms. Empowered with these tools, the women become catalysts for transformative change in their families and communities.
