Wetlands International Eastern Africa is in search of a seasoned Regional Finance & Compliance Officer to spearhead strategic direction in financial management, regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, donor accountability, and financial governance throughout its regional operations.
This position will be responsible for managing financial planning and reporting, overseeing budgeting processes, administering grants, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting audits, maintaining robust internal controls, and enhancing financial systems—all while supporting programmatic delivery across Eastern Africa.
Requirements:
A master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
Professional qualifications such as CPA (Kenya), ARCA, or their equivalents are required for this role.
Seeking a candidate with eight to ten years of progressive experience, with a minimum of two years demonstrated in a senior regional or multi-country finance leadership position.
Demonstrated expertise in overseeing donor-funded initiatives within the context of an international nongovernmental organization is required.
