Oversee the teams responsible for Sea Export operations originating from Kenya.

Maintain team awareness of any changes or developments while ensuring alignment with internal objectives and communicating these updates effectively.

Assess employees’ performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and identify areas for growth and improvement.

Foster the professional growth and skill enhancement of team members through targeted training and development initiatives.

Facilitate seamless case transitions by establishing standardized procedures to manage transfers during organizational changes within the team.

Develop the Middle Office organization, cultivate specialized expertise, establish necessary resources, and implement standardized processes to ensure operational excellence.

Ensure the organization, expertise, and resources align with the objectives set forth by the Manager.

Regularly assess the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to verify its alignment with customer service objectives.

Oversee the execution of the Standard Operating Procedure as directed by the Management Office team, perform quality audits—both internally and externally—and maintain ongoing surveillance to ensure alignment with the approved action plan.

Coordinate and monitor operations.

Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service to all clients, maintaining adherence to established standards and protocols throughout all interactions.

Oversee and mitigate risks to ensure organizational stability and compliance with established protocols.

Establish and maintain a robust risk control framework to safeguard organizational stability and compliance.

To minimize any potential for additional or extra charges, perform all necessary actions and measures.

Guarantee the fulfillment of both client-agreed contractual KPIs and internal performance metrics as established.

To ensure minimal disbursement exposure, implement all necessary actions, including adherence to compliance classification procedures, accurate billing and expense posting, and proactive risk management, with a particular emphasis on debit-related risks.

Collaborate with both the Front Office and Back Office teams—including Legal and Insurance—to support the customer disputes resolution process, while identifying and implementing measures to prevent the recurrence of underlying issues.

Ensure comprehensive insurance coverage for our services, whether through our internal resources or contracted providers, is maintained in collaboration with the Back-Office support team specifically dedicated to Insurance.

Manage and oversee reporting to senior leadership to ensure operational transparency and alignment with strategic objectives, facilitating informed decision-making at the highest levels.

Identify key customers based on factors such as cargo type, shipment volumes, financial stability, and account significance, then establish tailored operational monitoring protocols as needed.

Compile pertinent risk-related information, particularly concerning customs matters, and submit a monthly summary report to the Manager.

Prepare and submit a monthly performance report to the Manager, analyzing the department’s progress alongside anticipated trends for the upcoming months, while considering key market dynamics such as customer behavior and competitive landscape.

Profile

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to interpret financial statements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and a keen understanding of market trends. Prior to work experience in a business-related role is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.

A qualification in Clearing & Freight Forwarding or a comparable discipline is essential.

With over five years of experience in a high-volume Customs & Freight (C&F) company, specializing in maritime export operations within a managerial capacity, you will oversee key logistics functions.
