Your duties will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring operational efficiency and project success. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on strategic objectives, managing deliverables to meet established deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality in all outputs. Additionally, you will be expected to analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, provide actionable insights to stakeholders, and implement solutions to enhance productivity. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands will be essential in this role.

Process accounting transactions by reviewing supporting documentation routed through established workflows.

Guarantee the prompt and precise processing of all financial documentation to maintain meticulous records.

Ensure that all required supporting documentation is readily available to facilitate processing activities efficiently.

Collaborate closely with finance colleagues in various Country Offices to address processing discrepancies and prioritize the resolution of outstanding transactions in a timely manner.

Conduct comprehensive account reconciliation procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Ensure the accurate and up-to-date electronic filing and documentation of all accounting records in compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

In a dynamic operational setting, adapt seamlessly to evolving demands by incorporating novel procedures and expanded duties as the Hub progressively assimilates additional activities.

Ensure adherence to established internal controls, operational procedures, and regulatory audit mandates to maintain organizational integrity and operational efficiency.

Contribute to the seamless operation of the Hub by fostering collaborative efforts and proactively identifying avenues for enhancement.

Your profile

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required for this position.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Kenya finalist possessing a minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience.

Proficiency in international NGO operations and familiarity with international donor regulatory frameworks are highly advantageous.

Proficiency in audit-related tasks presents a beneficial qualification for this role.

Proficient in accounting functions such as maintaining general ledgers, recording journal entries, managing accounts payable, and preparing accurate balance sheets.

Proficient in utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
