Resposibilities
GVRC is seeking to enlist the services of a skilled lead facilitator/consultant to oversee the implementation of County Conventions for Women in Leadership on Electoral Gender-Based Violence Preparedness in four designated counties: Homey Bay, Baring, Nairobi, and Vilify.
The consultant will collaborate with GVRC and designated county focal points to facilitate participant mobilization, design and enhance session content and agendas, and lead four one-day county conventions. During these sessions, the consultant will moderate discussions focusing on women’s leadership, governance, electoral gender-based violence risks, prevention and response strategies, referral pathways, and safety planning. Additionally, the role involves compiling concise county session reports and producing a comprehensive final report summarizing all activities.
The ideal candidate must possess extensive expertise in governance, women’s political participation, gender-based violence, electoral violence prevention, community mobilization, training facilitation, and report writing. This position primarily involves providing mobilization support, delivering technical content, conducting facilitation and training sessions, moderating county-level dialogues, and producing reports.
Interested candidates are required to submit a concise technical proposal that demonstrates a clear understanding of the assignment, including the proposed methodology and session approach. Applicants should also provide evidence of relevant prior experience, an updated CV or professional profile, a sample report or previous facilitation output, a detailed work plan covering all four counties, and a financial proposal outlining professional fees for the duration of the assignment.
