This role serves as an entry-level professional accounting position, where the incumbent applies accounting principles to specialized records and reports, assists in maintaining a precise and comprehensive general ledger, and prepares foundational financial reports.

Responsibilities

Compiling journal entries and performing necessary adjustments represent key responsibilities within this role, ensuring accurate and compliant financial records.

Initiate comprehensive general ledger file maintenance, perform detailed account reconciliations, conduct thorough reviews, and resolve outstanding ledger entries.

Review expenditures to ensure alignment with allocated budgets, perform detailed reconciliations as needed, investigate discrepancies thoroughly, and record corrective journal entries to rectify variances.

Compiling diverse financial projections and expense documentation constitutes a key aspect of this role, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting for informed decision-making.

The role involves reviewing project accounts to ensure adherence to established policies and maintaining communication with relevant stakeholders regarding project progress and compliance status.

Assisting in the development and guidance of priesthood leaders and other junior accounting personnel.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

* Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems.

* Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

* Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

* Strong understanding of system design principles and scalable architecture.

* Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
