Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials meticulously in accordance with established procedures and protocols to ensure seamless dental care delivery.

Prepare patients for dental procedures by warmly greeting them, ensuring their comfort, assisting them into the treatment chair, reviewing their health forms, and draping them appropriately.

Instrument assembly involves sterilizing and transporting instruments to the treatment area, then positioning them for easy access by the dentist. Additionally, the role includes suctioning and passing instruments as needed during procedures.

Implement the four-handed and four-eyes dentistry methodology to ensure optimal patient care and procedural precision.

Support the dentist in preparing and blending dental materials as needed.

Capture intraoral photo studies, perform pulp vitality testing, and pour, trim, and polish study casts to generate comprehensive diagnostic information.

Provide support for a range of specialized dental procedures, including periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, implant placement, and restoration.

Fabricating provisional restorations, selecting appropriate shades, and performing cleaning and polishing of removable appliances are essential duties.

Provide patients with comprehensive education on maintaining optimal oral hygiene, controlling plaque buildup, and following postoperative care instructions, including guidance on prescribed medications as directed by the dentist.

Utilize dental software to accurately document all dental care services rendered directly within patient records.

Ensure a secure and sanitary workplace by adhering to established procedures, guidelines, and regulations outlined in hospital policy.

Oversee the functionality of dental equipment by adhering to scheduled preventive maintenance protocols, strictly following manufacturer guidelines, diagnosing operational issues, coordinating repair services when necessary, managing equipment inventories, and evaluating advancements in equipment and techniques.

Maintain an accurate inventory of dental supplies by routinely assessing stock levels to identify current availability, forecasting future supply requirements, promptly placing and following up on supply orders, and confirming the receipt of all ordered items.

Maximize the efficient use of dental equipment and supplies to support the attainment of operational objectives while minimizing waste.

Collaborate effectively within the team to deliver quality results as required.

Oversee laboratory upkeep, dental clinical operations, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure seamless workflow and compliance with established protocols.

Ensure timely and accurate follow-up on all external dental laboratory work, verifying completion and adherence to specified requirements.

Requirements:

Holders of a Diploma in Community Oral Health or a comparable qualification are encouraged to apply.

A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a dental healthcare setting, specifically as a Dental Assistant, is required.
