Job Purpose
The Medical Officer will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients, collaborate in multidisciplinary patient management, facilitate teaching and training initiatives, and uphold the hospital’s commitment to sustainable, outstanding holistic healthcare services.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including the development and execution of strategic initiatives, operational planning, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to senior management for informed decision-making. Evaluate, identify, and provide therapeutic interventions and ongoing management for patients across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialized care environments.
Design and execute tailored treatment plans while adhering to established clinical guidelines and evidence-based best practices.
Execute medical procedures in alignment with established scope of practice and professional competency standards.
Engage actively in ward rounds, clinical audits, mortality and morbidity reviews, and quality improvement programs to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Ensure the meticulous and prompt updating of patient records and clinical documentation.
Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare staff to ensure cohesive patient management.
Deliver health education and counseling services to patients and their families, ensuring they receive comprehensive guidance and support tailored to their individual needs.
Engage in emergency response coordination, public health outreach efforts, and designated community health programs as tasked.
Provide guidance and mentorship to medical students, interns, and other healthcare trainees to facilitate their professional development and training.
Play a pivotal role in advancing research initiatives, fostering innovation, and upholding evidence-based clinical methodologies to enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes.
Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements that guide medical practice.

A recognized institution must confer either a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree or an equivalent qualification.
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), ensuring compliance with national professional standards.
A current, active professional license in good standing is required.
An internship training program must be successfully completed.
A minimum of one year of clinical practice following internship is advantageous.
A certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) would be considered an additional asset to your qualifications.
