Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Community Oral and Health Officer to deliver exceptional oral healthcare services, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and community oral health education. This role also involves promoting proper dental hygiene practices and contributing to comprehensive patient care.
Oversee and execute a range of critical tasks, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of goals to enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership to inform decision-making. Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Administer oral assessments to evaluate patients’ dental health conditions comprehensively.
Diagnose and oversee the treatment of prevalent oral and dental conditions, ensuring comprehensive patient care and management of these issues.
Execute both preventive and corrective interventions with precision and expertise.
Deliver comprehensive oral health education and counselling sessions to individuals and community groups to promote better dental hygiene practices and overall oral wellness.
Engage in community outreach initiatives and dental education campaigns to promote oral health awareness.
Maintain adherence to infection prevention and control guidelines within the dental unit to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
Compile and organize reports while ensuring all necessary documentation is meticulously maintained in accordance with established standards and requirements.
Maintain adherence to the standards and protocols established by the Ministry of Health and the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with at least five years of progressive experience in financial analysis or a comparable role. Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial software are essential, as is the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate insightful reports. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, a solid understanding of GAAP principles and regulatory compliance is necessary.
Hold a recognized qualification in Community Oral Health, such as a degree or diploma, from an accredited institution.
A current, active practicing license and registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) are required.
A minimum of one to two years of clinical experience within a high-volume dental practice is strongly preferred.
BLS certification serves as a favorable qualification for candidates, distinguishing them in the selection process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities, are essential for fostering productive relationships and effective collaboration within the team.
Proficiency in basic computer operations and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems are advantageous.
