At this juncture, the incumbent will be tasked with fulfilling a range of responsibilities, including the following:
Contributing to the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures represents a core responsibility of this role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
Confirming the accuracy and completeness of data for payroll preparation and ensuring all relevant information is properly compiled and cross-checked.
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify training requirements and forecast future needs, then utilizing these insights to shape and enhance training programs.
Delivering comprehensive secretarial support to the Management Advisory Committee constitutes a core responsibility of this role.
Maintaining Human Resource records with precision and promptness is essential.
Implementing human resource management decisions in accordance with established rules, regulations, and procedures.
Overseeing the processing and administration of employee compensation, including the accurate calculation and timely distribution of salaries, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
Responsible for developing and assembling reports that detail the execution of performance management systems, with a specific focus on performance appraisals.
Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training and development initiatives is essential to ensure compliance and track progress effectively.
Person specification
An officer must meet specific criteria to be appointed to this grade, including a comprehensive evaluation of their qualifications and experience.
During a total span of nine (9) years, candidates must possess at least three (3) years of professional experience in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within either the Public Service or Private Sector.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management or Development—or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM),
A recognized institution must have awarded the Management Course.
Demonstrates strong competency in utilizing various computer applications effectively and efficiently.
