Duties and responsibilities at this level include a range of essential tasks and obligations, encompassing both operational and strategic functions. The incumbent will be tasked with executing key responsibilities that align with the organization’s objectives, ensuring adherence to established protocols while contributing to overall efficiency. Additionally, the role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance across all assigned duties.

Contributing to the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures is a key responsibility of this role.

Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data required for payroll execution and compiling it into a unified format.

Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments and projections to inform the development of training programs;

Offering executive administrative support to the Management Advisory Committee, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, and coordinating meetings to ensure efficient operations.

Maintaining Human Resource records with precision and punctuality is essential.

Developing and executing human resource management directives in accordance with established rules, regulations, and procedures while ensuring full compliance and operational alignment.

Overseeing the payroll function involves administering employee compensation, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and deductions, while maintaining strict compliance with relevant tax regulations and company policies.

Compiling and producing detailed reports on the implementation of performance management systems, with a specific focus on performance appraisals, is a key responsibility of this role. The incumbent will be tasked with systematically documenting and analyzing the effectiveness, progress, and outcomes of these systems to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, the role requires a thorough review of appraisal processes to identify trends, strengths, and areas requiring improvement, thereby supporting data-driven decision-making.

Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training and development initiatives and ensuring all records are current and complete.

Person specification

To qualify for this position, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Over the course of nine (9) years of professional experience, at least three (3) of those years must have been in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within the Public Service or Private Sector.

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution is required.

OR

A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

HRM has officially registered this position, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Hold an accredited Management qualification from a reputable institution;

Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize various computer applications is required.
