Role Purpose
The QA Associate is responsible for maintaining the quality and dependability of KNOPS IT applications, with a specialized emphasis on financial management systems and HIPAA-compliant solutions, by implementing thorough testing methodologies to support successful project deliveries and enhance organizational operational efficiency. This position requires close coordination with development teams, finance business stakeholders, and solutions designers to detect and address defects, verify financial data accuracy, refine testing procedures, and foster a quality-focused culture within the IT Group.
Functions / Key Results Expected
We are seeking a meticulous Software Tester to design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our software products. Your responsibilities will include identifying and documenting software defects, verifying fixes, and collaborating with development teams to enhance product quality. You must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in test automation tools, and a deep understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies. Experience with test management systems, bug-tracking software, and Agile/Scrum environments is required. Serve as a secondary tester supporting diverse functional domains beyond the designated primary scope of responsibility.
Ensure the precision and reliability of financial data by thoroughly tracing transactions from initiation to completion, verifying the accuracy of General Ledger postings, the balance of debits and credits, and the reconciliation across all relevant modules.
Test the closing procedures at the end of each accounting period—including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end—to confirm the reliability of the financial statements and management reports generated.
Examine financial system audit trails to confirm their completeness and accuracy, ensuring adherence to International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSA) and internal financial control protocols.
Evaluate the functionality of multi-currency transaction processing systems, focusing on the implementation of exchange rates, adherence to rounding regulations, and seamless currency conversion across integrated financial modules.
Conduct thorough testing of financial data migration processes, ensuring the integrity of opening balances, historical transaction records, and cutover precision is meticulously validated.
Evaluate the efficacy of user access controls and segregation of duties (Sod) configurations within financial systems, ensuring full compliance with established financial governance principles and rigorous audit standards.
