The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (CIPE) is a leading pan-African research and development organization dedicated to advancing insect science and its applications. Established in 1970, CIPE has emerged as a pivotal institution in addressing Africa’s health and food security challenges through cutting-edge science and innovation. The Centre specializes in pioneering environmentally friendly pest and vector control technologies and solutions that are efficient, selective, non-toxic, resistance-free, and accessible to underserved rural and urban communities. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, CIPE operates in over 40 African countries and maintains strong collaborations with global universities and research institutions.
With a workforce of over 500 international and national professionals, CIPE also mentors approximately 150 graduate students each year, enriching its research initiatives with fresh perspectives and expertise.
